Emerging Women Projects

Emerging Women Projects (EWP) is a non profit organization for teen girls' empowerment founded in 1997 by singer/songwriter and educator, Mimi Kates.  We are primarily volunteer run.  EWP has created and offered many free and flexible-fee programs for girls.  Currently, The Dressing Room Project is our main focus.

EWP is a member of The National Council of Women's Organizations.  We have a 501(c)(3) tax exempt fiscal agent which enables us to receive tax deductible donations. Contributions from businesses, foundations and individuals like you are essential to sustain our important work.

Our sponsors include Ben & Jerry's Community Action Team, Central Vermont Medical Center Auxiliary, Concept 2 Inc, The Anne Slade Frey Charitable Trust, National Life Group and Open Meadows Foundation.
