Mimi Kates

A singer/songwriter and former public school educator, Mimi Kates is currently the director of EWP & The Dressing Room Project.

She has over a decade of experience working with adolescents in diverse settings including teen centers, schools, drug addiction recovery programs, juvenile detention centers, teen parent programs, shelters for homeless youth, smoking cessation classes and eating disorders clinics.

A seasoned performer, whose insightful music has been broadcast on folk radio programs nationally, Mimi has shared the stage with Leon Redbone, Tom Chapin and the legendary Odetta.
